Event planning committee
What does the event planning committee do?
If you’d like to take part in organising events for our community or simply lend a hand in the heat of the moment, this committee is for you!Its mission is to organise student life activites around three main themes: social, cultural and sport events.
A few past event examples:
- social : Beignes et café, 5@7, Wine&Cheese, bar night, board games, Halloween, etc.
- culture : museum outings, concerts, festivals, guided tours around Montreal’s typical sites, etc.
- sport : cross-university sport tournament Interfacs, laser game, axe throwing, archery, etc.
How the event planning committee works:
The committee meets on a weekly basis. The volunteers are tasked with finding organising partners, to negotiate group tickets, to promote the event with our community and to prepare the smooth running of the event so that everyone has fun in a great mood on D-day!
How is the event planning committee organized?
The AÉCSP event planning committe comprises:
- a president, namely the Internal Business Coordinator
- a treasurer
- event planning volunteers
- additional temporary volunteers helping with recurring tasks (e.g. staff during events)
How to get involved at the event planning committee?
The event planning committee is open to all, you can join us anytime and for however long you’d like so feel free to reach out to us if you’d like to throw an event or make Polytechnique student life livelier!
