I would like to submit my application for the position of External Affairs
Coordinator within the Association des étudiants des Cycles Supérieurs de Polytechnique
(AECSP Inc.).
I am currently a student in the professional master’s program in mineral engineering, with a major in
environmental hydrogeology. In parallel to my studies, I am a member of the event
committee within the association. My experience in this position helps me to
develop social skills such as team spirit, critical thinking, negotiation and having a good sense
of service and humor. Providing for student life is
a task that is close to my heart. This is why I want to get more involved by
becoming the external affairs coordinator of the AECSP. The position of external affairs interests me
because it is based mainly on the interest of the students, aims to strenghten
the link between AECSP and the other university student associations in Quebec. Being
an international student myself, the subjects targeted by the External Affairs
position, mainly integrating the international student community, tuition fees, housing,
socio-political and environmental aspects are issues that are close to my heart
and I want to defend you throughout my mandate.
I am aware that this position requires a great deal of involvement and I am confident that my
willingness to learn, my dynamism, my organization skills and my will to surpass myself
will allow me to meet perfectly meet the expectations of students and to fullfill
the needs of this position efficiently.”
