“Hello ! I’m Héloïse, a French student in a double degree in computer engineering, at Poly since
September. When I arrived, I wanted to get involved in Poly’s associative life and to do so I
applied to become a director of AECSP. The board of directors is something I
I hadn’t known before (in the associative system anyway) and I thought that this was
a great opportunity.
After all, what is the AECSP? An association that represents students? Organizes events? Some
very cool people? All of the above. But more than that, it’s an association that has a mode of operation, a goal and
values that people are not always familiar with. To get involved as an administrator of such an association
is to discover it as a whole To study its workings, to oil them, to replace them. Being an administrator
of the Aécsp allowed me to discover its functioning, to be an actor in the decision-making process, to have the
feeling of doing something for the student community.
I really appreciated this experience which allowed me to see a different side of the association,
a side that matters. Finally, it is also a good way to meet great people
with whom it is even more pleasant to share with.
I had the opportunity to live a great experience at the beginning of this year and I now wish to
to get involved in another aspect of the AECSP, namely the vice-presidency of education. Indeed, if sitting on the
Board of Directors has allowed me to understand the functioning of the association, I now wish to
to get in touch with its members directly. Representing the student community, helping the student
community is what I wish to do now. I want to do my job
to the best of my ability and I hope that it will be as beautiful an adventure as this beginning of
session.
