What is a governor?
A governor is a former officer of the association who, after several sessions of involvement, has acquired a solid knowledge of the association (its roles, its issues, its interlocutors…) and wishes to share it with the team in place.
The governors can be 5, appointed by the Board of Directors (3) or elected by the General Assembly (2). Their term of office cannot exceed three (3) years.

What is the Board of Governors and what is its purpose?
The Board of Governors is comprised of the President of the AÉCSP and the elected Governors.
The purpose of this meeting is to facilitate the passing on of knowledge over the course of a term, but also to ensure that the AÉCSP is acting in accordance with its bylaws and the laws of Quebec. The Board meets at least once a year.
